Why response-time analysis needs geography, not just averages

Systemwide averages erase the spatial patterns leaders need to see.

Performance happens somewhere

Every response connects an origin, a destination, a road network, a demand condition and an available resource. Mapping those relationships shows whether delay is concentrated near a boundary, across a growth corridor or during coverage depletion.

Use multiple views

Percentiles, travel intervals, call density, reliability bands and time-of-day patterns answer different questions. A strong analysis keeps the record-level data behind each view and makes uncertainty explicit.

Geography supports better questions

The goal is not a prettier dashboard. It is to ask whether the system is positioned for the demand it serves, and which operational change is most likely to improve reliability.
